Rewild in 35mm
Hi, this is Kate, with my first ‘Good Things’ blog post! I thought I would share my analog photo diary from our Rewild retreat on the Helford back in June to give you a little snapshot of our beautiful retreat location.
These images were all shot on my trusty 35mm point and shoot .. a Nikon AW AF .. its an all weather brick of a camera, kind of like an 80’s version of a go-pro, but with a delightfully crisp lens and those colours that you only seem to achieve on film. Shooting with an underwater film camera lets me indulge in my life long quest to capture the feeling of swimming in open water, your eyeline constantly in that liminal space that is neither above nor below the water line. Watching two worlds with a unique watery perspective.
These images were processed by www.filmprocessing.co.uk, a Cornwall based lab who offer a fantastic service if you are shooting film and looking for somewhere to send your film rolls.
